Prankcall.us — House Rules & Privacy (a.k.a. “The Boring Stuff, Told Fun”)

Last updated: [Month Day, Year]

Welcome to Prankcall.us, where humor lives, satire thrives, and common sense keeps the lights on. By using this site, you agree to these rules and our privacy practices. If you disagree, that’s okay—close the tab, hydrate, and go pet a dog.

1) Big, Bold Satire Notice (Please Read)

  • Humor & Satire Only. Content here is intended for comedy, commentary, and parody.
  • We do not encourage illegal activity, harassment, doxxing, fraud, or emergency-service abuse.
  • No legal liability: Prankcall.us and its owners/admins disclaim all liability for user-generated content and any actions taken based on it. Users are 100% responsible for what they post and do, online or offline.

Translation: we’re the stage; you’re the act. Perform responsibly.

2) Community Rules (a.k.a. “Don’t Be That Person”)

Absolutely not allowed:

  1. Illegal stuff — anything that breaks laws (criminal or civil), including threats, harassment, stalking, defamation, blackmail, or fraud.
  2. Emergency services pranks — NO fake 911/999/112/etc. calls, recordings, or instructions. Zero tolerance.
  3. Non-consensual recordings — obey call-recording laws where you live and where the other party lives. If consent is required, have it. If you don’t, don’t post it.
  4. PII/Doxxing — no real names (beyond public figures), phone numbers, addresses, emails, plates, workplaces, or other identifying data. Scrub or bleep it.
  5. Minors — no content involving minors; no accounts for users under [13/16/18—pick one based on your policy].
  6. Hate or dangerous content — no hate speech, extremist praise, or incitement.
  7. Sexual content — keep it PG-13; no explicit material.
  8. Spam & scams — no self-promo blitzes, malware, affiliate spam, or SEO link farms.
  9. Impersonation — don’t pretend to be someone you aren’t (especially staff).
  10. Copyright violations — post only what you own, have rights to, or is clearly transformative fair use. When in doubt, don’t upload.

Strongly encouraged:

  • Add a disclaimer on any uploaded audio/video: “Recorded with consent. Identifying details removed.”
  • Provide context: what’s the joke, what’s the setup, why it’s funny without hurting anyone.
  • Tag & label your content accurately (e.g., skit, satire, reenactment).

Moderation:

  • We may remove, edit, or restrict content or accounts at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.
  • First offenses may get a warning; egregious stuff = ban cannon.
  • Repeat offenders may be IP- or device-blocked.
